Music was my first road to Audio Design. I'm used to listening to a broad variety of musical artists and, beyond the musical qualities of each track I enjoy, getting stunned by the sound material of it.

I developed a true passion for sound timbres and textures. Some sounds, especially in electronic music, really intrigued me.

It was nearly impossible to know which techniques were used to create them, as they were so weird and unique. I wanted to be able to know how to create such sounds, along with simpler ones of course.

With studies, personal and friends projects, I quickly started using my skills to take part in linear audio projects, such as short films.

At the time, I studied a lot the work of movies sound designers. People like Ben Burtt or Gary Rydstrom, with their creations for Star Wars, Jurassic Park or Terminator 2, truly amazed me. They have very creative approaches and their sounds match with the frame so well.

I drew a lot of inspiration from linear audio artists and technicians, but it's interactive audio, that I discovered later, that really blew my mind.

The concept of creating an music or audio system that delivers a unique audio experience to each player is an artistic and technical prowess. Being a gamer since my childhood, I've always enjoyed receiving that.

So I would also say that games with unique sounds that wonderfully illustrates the design intention inspired me a lot to pursue Music & Audio Design. I can think about games like The Legend of Zelda : Breath of the WildHorizon Zero Dawn, or Limbo. Both have a unique and gorgeous sonic signature. I love to listen to the sound effects of these games when I need some inspiration.
